Ground Floor Industry, GFI‘s, integrity lies with the support and talent of its team. This position will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

 

Principal Functions & Objectives

  1. Determine and define project scope and objectives ensuring technical feasibility
  2. Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  3. Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  4. Track project costs in order to meet budget
  5. Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  6. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  7. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  8. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  9. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements for each project
  10. Utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project execution
  11. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  12. Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement
  13. Take action consistent with available facts, constraints and anticipated consequences

Key skills and experience

  1. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  2. Proven working experience in project management
  3. Experience seeing projects through the full cycle
  4. Able to survey a floor with accuracy
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite
  6. Fluent in English
  7. Excellent verbal and written skills
  8. Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  9. Strong interpersonal skills
  10. Highly organized, ability to multi-task
  11. Productive and efficient in planning and executing work
  12. Exceptional attention to detail
  13. Works well in a fast paced environment
  14. Ability to establish effective working relationships that foster organizational success.
