We need an operations-focused IT Manager to own, stabilize, and scale our core systems—WMS, ERP, BI, and integrations. You’ll prioritize initiatives, align technology with operations, and ensure systems deliver reliable performance today and scalability for growth tomorrow.

What you’ll do

Systems & Application Ownership

  • Manage day-to-day support, configuration, and user management for: Synapse WMS, Sage 300 ERP, Sage SEI, Power BI reporting, and integration platforms
  • Ensure operational SLAs, billing accuracy, reporting quality, and smooth customer onboarding

Integration & Architecture Leadership

  • Lead API and EDI integrations with customers, carriers, and partners
  • Manage integration partners (Crisp, TechShip): design, testing, deployment, issue resolution
  • Establish integration standards: error handling, logging, versioning, and reuse
  • Reduce custom one-off solutions and improve system scalability

Vendor & MSP Management

  • Oversee MWI (Managed IT Provider) on security, connectivity, penetration testing, phishing awareness, and performance reviews
  • Ensure SLAs, risk management, and scalability planning

Team Leadership & Structure

  • Lead Developers and Business Analyst, set SOPs, roles, and workflows
  • Run backlog prioritization, incident/change management, and release planning
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs

Reporting & Data Enablement

  • Develop and standardize reporting across Sage SEI, Power BI, WMS, ERP, TMS, and other platforms
  • Deliver timely, accurate, decision-ready insights for operations and leadership

Key Performance Outcomes (first 12 months)

Foundations (0–3 months)

  • Complete warehouse and operations immersion
  • Understand SLAs, billing flows, reporting needs, and onboarding processes
  • Map current systems, integrations, and pain points
  • Build strong internal and vendor relationships

Capability Build (3–6 months)

  • Standardize support, integration, and development practices
  • Establish SLAs, KPIs, incident/change management
  • Implement structured backlog and prioritization
  • Deliver visible improvements in system reliability and onboarding consistency

Systems Throughput (6–12 months)

  • Deliver 12–24 month applications and integration roadmap
  • Improve customer onboarding speed and consistency
  • Reduce technical debt and manual workarounds
  • Increase reuse of integration components and data models
  • Reduce vendor/key-person dependency risks
  • Present executive-ready view of technology value and ROI

Your decision rights

You own: day-to-day support, integration design, vendor coordination, team task allocation
You escalate: budget changes, major platform or architecture shifts, long-term resourcing changes

  • Inside Sales: Item maintenance, pricing updates, configuration
  • Warehouse Operations: WMS configuration, billing, integrations, new site onboarding

What you bring

Must-have:

  • 3+ years managing application support
  • Strong integration knowledge (API & EDI)
  • Systems thinking and integration architecture experience
  • Project management and prioritization skills
  • Vendor/partner management experience
  • Operational reliability and risk management mindset

Nice-to-have:

  • Supply chain or logistics experience
  • Warehouse/transportation systems exposure

Tools & systems:

  • Sage 300 ERP, Synapse WMS, Sage SEI, Power BI, API integration platforms
  • User authentication and distributed systems security
